Mewad

Mewar or Mewad is a region of south-central Rajasthan state in western India. It includes the present-day districts of Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Udaipur,Pirawa Tehsil District Jhalawar of Rajasthan and Neemuch, Mandsaur of Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Gujarat.

Marwad

Marwad (also called Jodhpur region) is a region of southwestern Rajasthan state in North Western India. It lies partly in the Thar Desert. In Rajasthani dialect, “wad” means a particular area. The word Marwad is derived from Sanskrit word ‘Maruwat’. English translation of the word is ‘the region of desert.’

Detailed Itinerary

Day One
  • Guests will meet at Chatrapati Shivaji Domestic airport Mumbai as per the schedule flight departure time
  • Proceed to Jaipur.
  • On arrival they will drive to Mandawa.
  • Welcome to Mandawa – the heart of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan
Day Two
  • Proceed to Bikaner.
  • Enroute we visit Mandawa fort, rooms in the palace are decorated with paintings of Lord Krishna, various carvings and amazing mirror work.
  • Welcome to Bikaner.
  • Today we visit Deshnok Rat temple of Karni Mata.
Day Three
  • Today we visit Junagarh Fort which includes Anup Mahal, Gaj Mandir, Sheesh Mahal and Prachina Museum.
  • We view Lalgarh Palace.
  • Later we proceed to Jaisalmer, enroute visit Jaisalmer War Memorial.
  • On arrival we enjoy boating in Gadisar Lake followed by Puppet Show.
Day Four
  • Today we explore the city of Jaisalmer.
  • We visit Golden Fort and Jain Mandir in the morning.
  • Later we visit Patwanki Haweli and museum and Nathmalaji ki Haweli.
  • Experience the joyful Camel ride, folk dance and magnificent sunset in famous Sam Sand Dunes with dinner.
  • Overnight stay in Jaisalmer Tent.
Day Five
  • Welcome to Jodhpur.
  • The city is known as the ‘Sun City’.
  • Free time for shopping in the evening.
Day Six
  • Today we explore the city of Jodhpur.
  • We visit,
    • Ummaid Bhavan Palace museum built up by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 20th century
    • Mehrangarh Fort which was build in 20th Century includes Moti Mahal
    • Phool Mahal
    • Sheesh Mahal
    • Silah Khana
    • Daulat Khana
    • Rang Mahal
    • Jaswant Thada royal cenotaph built in white marble
Day Seven
  • Today we proceed to Mt. Abu the famous hill station in Aravali ranges.
  • En route we visit Bullet Baba Temple.
  • On arrival at Mt Abu we enjoy the Sunset of Mount Abu
  • Visit the picturesque Nakki Lake.
Day Eight
  • Today explore the city of Mt. Abu.
  • We visit Prajapita Bramhakumari Ashram followed by Gurushikhar which is the highest point of the Aravalli Range in Rajasthan.
  • Later we visit world famous Dilwara temple know for the best carvings in Rajasthan.
  • Free time for shopping in the evening.
Day Nine
  • Today we proceed to Udaipur also called as “The city of Lakes”.
  • En route we visit Haldighati museum.
  • We also visit Nathdwara.
Day Ten
  • Today we explore the city of Udaipur.
  • We visit Maharana Pratap Smarak – Moti Magri
  • Saheliyon ki Bari – ‘Garden of the Maids of Honour’
  • City Palace
  • Enjoy the boat ride in Lake Pichola also visit Jag Mandir and the unique Crystal Gallery followed by a Light and Sound Show in the evening
Day Eleven
  • Welcome to Ajmer
  • En-route we visit Chittorgarh Fort – Ranakumbha Palace
  • Meera Mandir
  • Vijay Stambha and Padmini’s Palace.
  • Later we visit Moinuddin Chishti Darga at Ajmer.
Day Twelve
  • Welcome to Ranthambore.
  • Today en – route we visit Bramha Mandir
Day Thirteen
  • Welcome to Jaipur.
  • Today we experience the thrilling safari at Ranthambore National park for wildlife viewing.
  • Later we leave for Jaipur, the capital of the State and known as ‘Pink City of India’.
Day Fourteen
  • Today we explore the city of Jaipur.
  • We take a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal ‘Palace of winds.’
  • Visit,
    • Amer Fort
    • City Palace
    • Sanganeri printing showroom
    • Jantar Mantar
  • Free time for shopping in the evening.
Day Fifteen
  • Proceed to airport
  • Tour concludes.
